Because of some crisis, he left the UFC after working in advertising for a while.
His first comedian special was released in 2000, the same year he hosted Fear Factor and gained popularity. Joe Rogan launched his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, in 2009, which has given him wealth, fame, success, and superstardom. Despite reaching the heights of success, Joe Rogan liked to keep his family and professional lives separate. Rogan once said about his career:
Before becoming a stand-up comedian, I didn’t know where I wanted to go. The future seemed a bit daunting to me. I couldn’t imagine myself working a 9-to-5 job.

Acting and Comedy Career
In 1994, Rogan moved to Los Angeles and booked his first national television spot and the MTV comedy show “Half-Hour Comedy Hour,” where he showcased the stand-up comedy he had developed during his time in New York City. The same year, Rogan was cast in Hardball’s sitcom as Frank Valente, a young, narcissistic star player on an American baseball team. Fox aired nine episodes of Hardball that year. Mitzi Shore, the owner of The Comedy Store in Hollywood, provided him with free performances for 13 years and even paid for the venue’s new sound system.
From 1995 to 1999, Rogan starred in the NBC sitcom “News Radio.” Joe Garelli, the show’s fictional news radio station’s handyman and electrician, was Rogan’s character.
NBC offered him the host of “Fear Factor” America in 2001. This show ran for six seasons from 2001 through 2006. Rogan returned to “Fear Factor” as host during its seventh and final season.
The Man Show debuted in August 2003, and Rogan co-hosted the show for its fifth season from February 2003 through April 2004.

Joe Rogan’s net worth
An American comedian, actor, martial arts expert, UFC commentator, podcast host, and podcast host, Joe Rogan has $120 million. In addition to being a cast member of the comedy series “News Radio,” Joe has also hosted the reality show “Fear Factor” as well as Comedy Central’s “The Man Show.” Today, Joe operates one of the most successful podcasts globally and has been a UFC commentator since 2011.
Highlights of Salary
We estimated that he earned $5 million per year from the podcast in 2017. Before signing with Spotify in May 2020, it had been reported that Joe was earning $20 million per year from his podcast, between sponsored reads and YouTube revenue.
Furthermore, it should be noted that Joe has many different sources of income. Despite his success, he still performs sold-out stand-up shows around the country and commentates UFC matches. In addition to serving as the host of “Fear Factor” from 2001 to 2006, he also earned millions from his work.
Deal with Spotify
On May 19, 2020, Spotify announced that Joe had signed a multi-year licensing deal. Spotify became the exclusive home for Rogan’s audio and video feeds due to the deal. In addition, all of Joe’s archived episodes were removed from YouTube and iTunes. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. This does not constitute an acquisition. Rogan’s network is significantly smaller than Bill Simmons’ podcast network, which Spotify acquired about a month ago for $190 million upfront plus $50 million per year in content costs.
Before the deal, Joe made at least $20-30 million per year, assuming that was the case. Let’s assume he signed with a three-year contract. A Spotify contract with over $100 million would be a safe bet. Perhaps much more, but most media outlets estimate he earned between $100 million and $200 million.
Spotify’s deal with Joe was revealed in February 2022 to be MUCH more extensive than previously assumed and reported. Specifically, Joe’s deal is worth $200 million over three years. This is also known as $67 million annually. Although, it should be noted that his production costs would be included in the deal value. For example, when you hear that Howard Stern has signed a $500 million deal, not all of the money goes to Howard. Most films indeed have a budget, but expenses for production staff and co-stars are also paid from that budget. The production budget of Joe’s show is very bare-bones, as you may already know. So, we can safely assume Joe’s annual salary from Spotify is at least $60 million. Maybe even closer to $65 million.
